Sardar Patel Seva Trust was established in March 1993 by eminent personalities of Patel community, with social welfare as it main objective. The trust works to improve the overall social scenario and tries to bridge the gap between an ideal society and the existing malfunctioning society.

     As a first step towards achieving this goal, the trust set up the Sardar Patel Educational Institute in December, 1996. The aim of the Institute was to establish an English Medium School that would cater to the need of the recent rural migrants who aspire to impart English medium education to their children, which they themselves lack. Additionally, it would benefit those, who want quality education, but existing educational institutions can not fulfill their need either due to their lack of financial support or other reason. Thus, first school under the banner of Sardar Patel Educational Institute was started in June 1998 with 25 students named as "Smt. A. R. Sutaria Nursery School". With the growth of this school our second school come up in June 1999 names as "Shree G. M. Donda Primary School". After that our third school named as "Shree L. G. Kakadia Secondary / Higher Secondary School " came up in June 2000. Keeping up with a fast growth the next in sequence was "Smt. M. S. Lakhani Kanya Vidyalaya" which started in the year 2003. This school further expended in three division as Primary, Secondary & Higher Secondary divisions. As per the motto of our institute to facilitate the society, one more school came up in this campus in the year 2003 which is names as "Smt. D. B. Mangukia Balmandir".

Realizing the necessity of trained teachers in the Saurstra region our new B.Ed. College came up in this campus in June 2004 which names as "Shree L. L. Kakadia B.Ed. College". In the year 2005 mainly intended for acclimatizing the tiny tots to the school atmosphere one more school came up in this campus named as "Smt. O. Z. Mendapara Play House". To fulfill the trained teacher's requirement of our campus "Shree L. G. Kakadia Women's PTC College " came up in June 2005. In the same sequence of our growth in June 2006 more feather was added to the cap of our Institute which is known as "G. L. Kakadia International School". For the benefit of girl students and to provide them well furnished accommodation in our campus "Smt. L. L. Kakadia Mahila Chhatralaya" started in August 2006. In this way as per the necessity and requirement of the city and region, day by day this Institute is growing under the umbrella of Sardar Patel Seva Trust to fulfill the requirement of Saurastra region. In short, with an increasing number of institute in this campus, Sardar Patel Educational Institute is rapidly developing into one of the leading International of the country.
